I have been running the 2.8.0-pre2 on both of my working machines, and just ran into something that has never been a problem before.
Consider this code: o100 while loop do stuff o100 endwhile m5 (stop spindle) G0z100 (get tool out of the way so I can measure progress) m2 And it hung after the M5, never exec'ing the G0 Z100 I put the M5 after the G0 z100 (mm mode) and it works perfectly. So I expect its related to the spindle at speed signal. But with my setup, that leaves the spindle coasting for several seconds if its been trucking right along. IMO, its safer the other way to shut down the spindle, then move the tool out of the way while its coasting down, so that by the time it has done that final move, the spindle is stopped or nearly so. Is this the intentional behavior? Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
