I'm glad my proposed change worked for you. By the way, I wanted to raise one additional concern about linuxcnc as I built it on FC23: I *believe* that as configured, you get a binary which is not distributable, because you link GPLv2-only software (linuxcnc) with GPLv3+ software (libreadline). This is not a problem on Debian because they provide a gpl2 version of libreadline still. If you intend to distribute binary packages of linuxcnc for fedora, please verify that this is permitted under all the involved software licenses.
