Sam my old c-frame machines were all wired with an i/o box at rear of column this box had 2 rows of terminal strips top was in from control bottom was out to control terminal 1 of top jumpered to terminal 1 of bottom allowed override of the whole estop chain on machine side ( temperature, oil overflow, limts, etc ) I never went as far as installing an override switch though, thought that was risky the jumper was useful when initally installing ( techs never set the tachos to agree with the motor command polarity ) tomp tjtr33
