I just noticed there's no mention of the CNC Workshop on the LinuxCNC web pages (or else I missed it). We should probably put that in "news" on the front page or somewhere else prominent.
(See http://www.thecncworkshop.com/ for more details...) Robert Luken and I will be giving an all-day talk on LinuxCNC. If anybody else wants to contribute, our vocal cords will greatly appreciate a few minute's rest. Something I realized at the last minute we had to add in is a tutorial on Halscope. I find that Halscope is the biggest hurdle to getting a user's machine completed and running properly. I spend WEEKS on the phone with some users begging them to take the time to learn Halscope, they are clearly TERRIFIED by the program without ever having started it! (Obviously, to those of us who have used digital scopes, it is no biggie, but to those who have not, it seems to be a surprising hurdle. Hopefully, I can help a few at the Workshop.) I will be there with a bunch of LinuxCNC-based stuff, I think Matt Shaver will probably tag along with Steve Stallings. Roland Freistad will give a talk on small business. Ed Nisley was there last year, don't know if he will be there again. Jon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What NetFlow Analyzer can do for you?
