Greetings all; I have given up on excising all the r-pi references from a kernel tree intended to be built for the r-pi's. It was downloaded to the pi, but never built on it since the pi would need days to build it. The rock64 can do it in less than 2 hours when that tree is moved to the rock64.
So I just grabbed the tarball of the arm64 version of linux-master-4.10-rc3, direct from git.kernel.org and have unpacked it to rotating media on the rock64. It is otherwise untouched. My intention is to construct an rt-preempt kernel that will run on the rock64's, based of this 4.10-rc3 tarball. But since git has taken over the linux development world as the king scm, I've read the gittutorial some, but its complex, so how do I set this thing up so git can track it, and even publish it in the event I am actually successful in making it run LinuxCNC? Thanks all. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
