I have also used the external offsets branch on a gantry plasma table without any problems emerging. I've also used the external offsets for plasma torch height control and Dewey Garrett has incorporated a few changes to the branch based on feedback from my experience. Whilst plasma machine problems and a total lack of time have precluded me from finalising my configuration, I have used it enough to know the offsets work. I'm with Andy, merging external offsets into master won't break anything I'm aware of. I'd also like to commend Dewey on the enormous effort he's put in all of the support sims and documentation. I think its ready for prime time.
