Hi, Im working on the mode switching issues: https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/issues/361 https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/issues/285
I added some debugging output here: https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/blob/master/src/emc/usr_intf/axis/scripts/axis.py#L936 and it seems that either the mode switch fails, or something immediately changes it back to manual. its not halui, I checked that. any ideas how I can debug this? can a mode switch fail? what else it setting modes? its not axis, that function does not get called when it changes it back.
