Probably but I tried several programming languages and does not like python for several reasons. I could write a list but do not think anybody would care anyway.
If I wrote I would probably chose C or maybe C++ or ADA for this purpose. GTK and QT is common for user interfaces and since GTK have been used before this would be the first choice.
