and thats where a problem is IMHO.
generally there are 2 things to test:
1. if it works as expected
2. if it does not break anything else.

of the few people that run master on their machines, probably even fewer use a 
patched version.
and those who do, only test what they expect and need.

for example, the reverse run is only tested by pepole that need reverse run. so 
how do we ever find out if it breaks anything that does not use reverse run?
