A chap on the forum has a big old HBM with a single drive motor for all axes.
The machine probably never needs to make coordinated moves, so keeping
this drive system might be acceptable.
My first though was to use LOCKING_INDEXER to make this work. I was
thinking that it would supply pins to engage and disengage the
clutches, and would prevent more than one joint moving at a time.

Initial experiments with the axis sim in 2. were hopeful, homing
worked exactly as I hoped with the axes moving one at a time as the
unlock handshake took place. X and Y in the sim were set to home
simultaneously, but toggling the pins made them home sequentially.
So, during homing, all was well.

But once homed, the locking-indexer behaviour seemed to completely
disappear, with normal movement.

Perhaps LOCKING_INDEXER in World Mode is only active on rotary joints?
This seems like an unnecessary restriction if so.

Is the current behaviour by-design or faulty?
