As I said on IRC, I added the rtai lxrt support to uspace realtime to check off a checkbox item, but I have never intended to publicize it as a "please expect this configuration to work 100%". I didn't expect anybody to end up with it accidentally, either.
If nobody is interested in maintaining it (I'm not), I suggest to remove the rtai (and xenomai) "support" of uspace realtime, or hide it behind a stronger configure argument to request an unsable and unsupported configuration. (--with-plentiful-kernel-oopses, maybe) That will lead to users in this situation not getting realtime until they change their configure arguments, but hopefully they won't get crashes either. (the uspace rtai has never been in a released linuxcnc version so technically pulling the feature isn't a regression) Jeff _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
