I've sure got something wrong and the sheldon-lathe config hasn't been
changed. That leaves the 7i90 which may have been blown some more by my
cutting each wire back to the 7i90 off the encoder at the encoder,
stripping another 1/8" and putting it in a 5 pin socket, matching a 5
pin male glued to the bracket on the encoder assembly so I can
disconnect it. No grounded soldering iron has touched it.
I can crash it by moving the bull gear half a tooth. 100% of the time.

My config directory tarball is posted on my web page if you want to
double check it. Ground to the encoder is .002 ohms, all thru the cable
to the encoder. No grounds at the encoder but back to the single point
bolt.

thanks for any other thoughts Andy. Mine are convinced I've blown another
7i90HD. And its on the bottom of a 4 layer pile in the computer box, the
top 3 layers are the 7i42TA's. It will be at least 3 hours to change it
out cuz everything on top of it has to come off first. But first get a
couple more of them headed my way.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
