I have gone thru my go704 configs without finding anything.

But here is my present theory:
I am overflowing the line length limits with some of my renames in the
loadrt section of my hal files and that is confusing the hal
router/linker.

1;What I am observing is a fixed -0.005 offset, modified by pressing a y
jog key but always settling back to -0,005 at pid_y.command. the
direction of the jog as shown by the dro is always the last y key
pressed. But that erronious signal never changes polarity even thou the
dro can be made to run either direction according to the last key
pressed

2;The dro only shows a velocity when the updown arrows are pressed. But
the feedback (fb) from the stepgen runs continuously at which ever was
the last direction pressed.

So, how long a name can I use in the loadrt's names statement before the
possibility of an overflow exists? Could I save the /tmp files and see
it there?

I'll also point out that this all worked well prior to the update that
merged the 2.8 stuff to master.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
