While you are seeing about that, I ran down the test thats failing, and found the error is actually "can't load simpockets.tbl" which does exist at 4 other locations in the tree and twice in my home/linuxcnc/sims dir.
This is in linuxcnc-dev/tests/tool-info/random-with-startup-tool$/test.sh which I assume is the actual test driver. missing env setup or? Does this help?
