update. Gave up finding the right gpio pin to invert and put a - sign in front of the SCALE, worked a treat. I need to tighten the belt a bit more, but I am VERY impressed with the motions this 3 phase step-servo is giving me, and doing it with 5% of the noise the big motor was generating. I get the feeling I can accellerate it quite a bit from what the big motor was doing. Until I see evidence to the contrary, this new step-servo tech has arrived and is 100% usable.
