One is Debian 10 and was an upgrade from 2.8-pre the other pc is Debian
9 and it was a downgrade from 2.9-pre.

I just tried reinstalling the english docs on a live-image install,
and everything stayed where it was.

It used X-CNC-DOC etc in the Categories to find them.
Are all the failing test machines running Buster?
