Possibly also record a skeleton of a sheet of material so it could be
displayed on a screen preview.
Its often the case that a sheet of material is not fully consumed in one
session so the sheet needs to be stored and retrieved next time. Knowing
what was available to cut would be useful.

Also QTPlasmac has a good example of doing sheet alignment with a laser
pointer. (and possibly a camera).
