It is, probably a decade or more. And it never worked for more than 5 consecutive
versions of master.

Is there now a newer version that just works? And doesn't take a $14,000 camera? I've  run into cameras that work great, couldn't buy a 2nd one anyplace 90 days later.

It seems there is a war on to keep machine vision away from LinuxCNC.  Cheese works with virtually any camera with a usb cable, so it makes no sense that this should be so
maddeningly difficult.
