That is all nice and so, but it is my understanding (IANAL) that LLM generated stuff cannot be copyrighted. The other problem is that there are several lawsuits ongoing about the content these LLM are based on and they may therefore cause a lot of trouble now or in the future.

These are, IMO, fundamental problems for any project because it becomes a nightmare to find out a) which parts fall under copyright, b) whose copyright that then actually is or will be if the LLM pasts someone else's code and c) which parts do not fall under copyright at all.

Accepting LLM generated patches should be discouraged completely with the current state of precedents. And also note, any precedents need to be _globally_ enforceable and not just one country's opinion. We are a long way from that state of affairs and we should err on the side of caution.
