The font issue was/is already reported

https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/issues/4068

Did not get around to it because of the docs and smoke UI tests.
I've pushed some fixes about this discussion,

Fit the UI
https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/pull/4131

Fix the font warning
https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/pull/4133

See if these make it better. Worth porting back to 2.9?

There are some font deprecation issues, I'm not sure if it's bookworm or your
resize issue relevant, that's only thing that comes to mind.

Since updating to Bookworm (belatedly) on my milling machine and lathe
I have have problems with the Touchy window resizing too high to fit
on the display (1280x1024).
It will resize fairly narrow, no problem there, but seems to want to
be quite high.

Last night it was fine until I pressed "reload tool table" at which
point it bec ame about twice as high as the screen, and I spent ages
fiddling with font sizes and DPI settings trying to get it back.

I know that some folk have been looking at Touchy recently, and I am
wondering if they have aby ideas?

It feels like the problem is top and bottom padding in the buttons,
but this may come from CSS and that's a complete mystery to me.
