In addition to our line of laboratory equipment, we manufacture some
saws and grinders to prepare samples of metal for analysis. Several of
these fall under the Machinery Directive. In my search for interlocks
and safety relays, I found a company called Pilz. They are a big PLC
manufacturer in Germany and have a line of Safety relays.
They pro

ded me a software package called the Interactive Guide to Machinery
Safety, and a book called a Guide to the Machinery Safety Standard.

been a great resource for me, and I would recommend them to anyone
who deals with the Machinery Directive.
