several years ago, there was a small, hand-held esd device advertised in
some of the major tech trade magazines. it was self contained, about the
size of a mini-maglite flashlite, that generated a positive pulse upon
clicking the trigger with a corresponding negative pulse on release. it was
available with several different discharge networks & voltage capabilities
and also had a loop probe attachment to give a non-contact h-field effect
for testing areas for suceptibility. i saw these people exhibit at a trade
show somewhere in california in the early '90s. i believe they were located
in canada and that either the device or the company name was something like
Pico-Q.

i can't locate ANYTHING on either the firm or the product. does anyone else
remember what i'm talking about or have any info at all on this? any help
would be appreciated. (it's possilble that they are no longer around. if you
know this to be truwe, please let me know.)

kind regards,
