Regarding Craig's question on South African EMC requirements, I have gather the following answer from the South African Bureau of Standards: SOUTH AFRICAN EMC AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS South Africa have only EMI and safety requirements. The standards applicable are all the CISPR standards and in the case of safety the major applicable standards are IEC 335 (3rd edition), IEC 950 and IEC 65. All products must be certified by the SABS (South African Bureau of Standards) for EMI and checked for safety. CB test reports are accepted without question (South African deviations excluded) and third party certified EMI test reports are usually acceptable. Testing is also done by the SABS and you may contact me directly to obtain quotations and further information.
