IEC 60335-1, 1991, Amended 1994, Sub-clause 23.9:

    "Stranded conductors shall not be consolidated by lead-tin 
    soldering where they are subjected to contact pressure, 
    unless the clamping means is constructed so that there is 
    no risk of bad contact due to cold flow of the solder."
