Dear All,

I have a High Intensity Discharge Electronic Ballast. It is within an
aluminum enclosure and has input and output leads for connection to the
supply and load respectively. The ballast is mounted within the light
fixture at either the base or within the luminaire. Have been studying
UL1029 and it seems to him that the scope of the standard was made for
magnetic type ballasts and not electronic ones.

Question 1: What is the correct UL standard to evaluate such a ballast?

Question 2: Can this product Listed to UL1950 since it is basically a power
            supply?

Question 3: What would be the applicable CSA Standard?

Question 4: What would be the applicable European Standard?

Question 5: What are the applicable EMC standards?

Thanks and Best Regards,
