Hello Everyone! Anyone have experience in Approving an ITE system (like a rack system) to UL1950/EN 60 950 which consists of an Approved measurement and/or test equipment evaluated to UL3101- 1/EN601010-1 and/or UL3111-1?
The system in question is a rack system Approved for ITE and manufacturer wishes to add a protocol analyzer Approved for Measurement and Test Equipment. I believe construction should be acceptable as long as the protocol analyzer has no user accessible hazardous voltages exceeding the SELV limits of UL1950/EN 60 950. Moreover, in the same way that UL1950/EN 60 950 power supplies are accepted without test in a UL3101-1/EN601010-1 product, I believe a component evaluated to UL3101-1/EN601010-1 should also be accepted within an ITE system.
