I remember seeing a figure for voltage breakdown through air recently, but can't remember what it is. Seems like it's 1mm per 1000 volts or something like that. Can anyone help? Specifically, I'm concerned about how much spacing is required between components and chassis to guard against electric field coupling during an ESD event.
