We are currently investigating new design for dimmers for European use. We are looking at custom building into the removable dimmer modules an RCD per way (2 channels of dimming per module). These would be of the electronic variety as opposed to the electromechanical types to be used in conjunction with circuit breakers. What specifications should we look at for approving the these RCD's as a whole. We have looked at EN61008 and EN61009 which seem to cover the pertinent points (is anybody aware of any other that we should look at, or even if these are the right ones). What we are also interested in are the requirements for Germany and possibly France. Does anybody happen to know what the DIN/VDE specification would be for approving these types of devices.
