1. Regarding the Safety Standard for Power Transformers, I think that the EN
61558-1:1998 is more appropriate; it supersedes the EN60742.

2. In regard to the EMC Standards, I will suggest you to have a look at
http://www.schaffner.com/filters/pdffiles/1phase_filter_cat.pdf (page 5 of
63) and there are information which I hope will offer the necessary
understanding of the applicable Standards.

OBS.: In my opinion, I think that you have to be very attentive in regard to
the applicable END PRODUCT ELECTRICAL SAFETY STANDARD requirements (e.g.:
Leakage Current at the maximum Frequency and Voltage, Electric Strength
Test, Insulation Resistance, etc.)

Respectfully yours,
Constantin

Subject: a common-mode choked coil

Hello Group,

I understand that I should have
a power transformer for Europe
complied with IEC(EN)742.
well then,
What standards should I have
a common-mode choked coil
(radio interference filter)
 for Europe complied with?

Thanks in advance
