Does anyone have any experience in the safety testing RS232 ports that is
part of an un-earthed SELV circuit?
In normal practice I understand that pin 1 is earthed for screening purposes
etc, but are there any special circumstances where an earthed connection on
the RS232 would be unfavourable.
