Hi Lyons, Up to this point, Poland is still not a Membership of the EU. They will be the first wave candidate coutry to apply for EU Membership by the end of year 2001??.
Placing on the Poland market the telecommunication equipment requiring mandatory conformity assessment with the essential requirements and without the required mark of conformity with the essential requirements is prohibited according to Ludomir Nowak (Head of Terminal Equipment Test Laboratory in Poland). Ludomir Nowak can be contacted as the following address. Ludomir Nowak Head of Terminal Equipment Test Laboratory Phone: (+4822) 5128173, Fax: (+4825) 5128146 Email: l.mo...@itl.waw.pl For safety, the Polish Standard PN-93/T-42107, being the Polish translation of IEC 60950 was applied. The test reports and certificates of conformity iwth IEC 60950 or EN 60950/EN 41003 issued by accredited European laboratories were regonized in the homologation procedure. For EMC a mumber of European standards ahve translated into Polish, getting PN-EN symbol in the standard denotation. Foreign certificates of conformity with the corresponding original standards were also accepted during homologation procedure. Hope the above information will be usefull to you. Good luck!
