Thanks, but you guys lost me a ways back. :) (Originally the conversation was about single phase two-phase etc wasn't it?) What is has evolved into is very interesting but outside the scope of my expertise and knowledge. I do have some High School Electronics (back in the days of the superhetrodyne) and some self study, so i'm not totally lost here, but I'm basically an observer here. I do find the part about similar plug configurations and different polarities interesting and a bit unsettling.
