Perhaps I should have mentioned that I have spent long hours in the past browsing the UL and associated websites for any such standard and have not had much success. Patty Knudsen replied and wrote she believed there was no UL standard for automotive ESA safety and I am inclined to believe that is the case, unless anyone else out there knows better. I have been directed to the SAE website and must say it looks quite promising.
