What sort of 'school' is this? What library facilities do you have
access to?

What sort of network? A LAN? A telephone system? A power distribution
network? They are all different.
>>

Why are you looking at ISO? The EMC standards are produced by IEC
(http://www.iec.ch) but you still can't get them for free. The only way
to get free access is through a library. Where are you? If you are in
Europe, most central public libraries can give you access to IEC and EN
standards in one form or another. You need to look at the IEC 61000
series and CISPR standards, especially CISPR 22 and 24, or EN55022 and
55024 in Europe.
>>
>>And is there someone who knows where to find emc specs on networkcables,
>>hubs, etc.? All concerning emc of course.

Ask the manufacturers. They may not publish the data in data sheets but
they are likely to produce it on request.

There is another newsgroup, sci.engr.electrical.compliance but you won't
get a different answer there.
