Section a4 of FCC regulation 15.19 deals with product labelling. With a
device that is subject to certification or verification it states "Where
a device is constructed in two or more sections connected by wires and
marketed together, the statement specified under paragraph (a) of this
section is required to be affixed only to the main control unit."

We manufacture systems that consist of two major sections connected as
described. According to a customer's requirements, additional facilities
in separate enclosures and in varying quantities could also be supplied.
These optional units can only function with our product, are generally
supplied at the same time as the main units but could be supplied to
increase the customer's facilities at a later date. All units meet the
FCC requirements.

Would a single label attached to the main control unit be sufficient
(under this section of the regulations) to cover all versions or is it
necessary to place a label on the optional equipment?

Thanks again for your help,

Neil Helsby
