No; it was never intended to apply to high-power equipment and the
characteristics of high-power equipment were not taken into account when
it was written.

Par 3 is not applicable: it applies to what we call 'consumer units' in
Britain; I've temporarily forgotten the US term.

You should apply this, *as far as possible* to any built-in data
processing boards. IEC 60439-1 doesn't deal with boards adequately.

Correct.
