Hi all. Hope someone can help with this query.
Our company has supplied equipment to Boeing which is installed in aircraft. The original contract to supply a number of systems was completed. We now have a contract with Boeing for repair. Boeing have asked for a declaration on whether the equipment meets FCC Requlations or not. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a regulatory Agency of the U.S. Government, has established an equipment authorization program to control radio interference from radio transmitters and certain other electronic products. Radio equipment may not be imported or marketed in the U.S. until it has complied with the equipment authorization procedures of the FCC. Substantial penalties may be imposed for equipment that is imported or marketed in violation of the FCC Rules. Does this type of equipment need to meet these regulation or is it exempt?
