Just don't talk to some old purchasing types about "k". It doesn't mean base 1,000 in purchasing land. More like base 1,000,000. I ordered some resistors in qty = 1k. It got kicked back to my supervisor because (1) when I multiplied out the final cost, it was wrong and (2) there was no justification for buying one million resistors.
