Jeffrey,

The best place to look for this information is the website of the European
Commission on PECA's:
http://europa.eu.int/comm/enterprise/regulation/pecas/pecas.htm
Look for an overview of the sectors that are already covered by each
individual country on http://europa.eu.
nt/comm/enterprise/regulation/pecas/pecas_sectors.htm

So the country will accept the CE mark for the sectors that are already
implemented, otherwise national legislation is still there.

For the sectors implemented, the CE mark has equal value in the context of
what the CE mark is meant for.

I your sector is not implemented yet: 8 candidate countries will become member
in May, 2004 at which date they will have implemented the European legislation
for all sectors, also the legislation for CE marking.

Regards,
Kris

Subject: New countries that will accept the CE Mark

Group,

Does anyone have any recent updates on the following countries legislation
to accept the CE mark?
If/when this is complete, will the CE mark have equal weight as their
national mark?

* Bulgaria

* Czech Republic

* Hungary

* Romania

* Slovakia

* Slovenia

* Poland

* Turkey

Thanks,
