Dear Colleagues, In our line of business, there are several European harmonized documents (ENs) related to our products that have nothing to do with any directive. Where there was a national standard speaking to the same topic it seems clear to me that the national one still must be withdrawn. What is not so clear to me is, is a country required to enforce an EN even when they had no national standard before and no directive is involved? If the answer is no, would it change if they had had a previous national standard?
