Dear All, Is anyone able to advise on the current situation regarding the CCC mark and complex telecoms switching equipment.
I'm getting feedback that the customs agencies are demanding CCC approvals for our proprietary digital telephone sets. I attended a seminar back in 2000 where the CNCA made it clear that complex switching equipment with MII approvals were exempted from the CCC approval. In order to bypass the CCC mark questions at the customs point I requested Manufacturing to structure a copy of the MII certificate to each piece of shipped hardware, so far this has served us well. The problem as I see it is the customs agencies are looking at our proprietary sets and assuming they fit in the scope of the CCC as standalone telephones. I could submit the phones for the CCC approvals but of course they won't function without the rest of the system, I checked the latest CCC document for TTE and it appears that there is now reference to PABX equipment. Does the CCC for TTE now apply to products at 220Vac 140 ac amp, multi cabinet systems?
