To All List Members, First, please check and verify that your email client does not have the Return Receipt Requested flag enabled for any mails posted the the EMC-PSTC List. Every email sent with that flag set to on causes every member that reads the email to inadvertently reply with Yes or Accept when asked to read the email. This generates excessive and unnecessary list traffic for every member. 18 excess messages today alone.
Second, if you receive an email from the EMC-PSTC list asking you to accept the return receipt request, PLEASE ANSWER NO or CANCEL. This will avoid sending the return receipt to the sender (the list) but you will still be able to read the email regardless of accepting or canceling the RRR. Saying NO or CANCEL simply avoids sending the RRR but does not alter or affect the message in any other way. Than you for your cooperation.
