The problem with 'such as' and 'North American equivalents' is that individual standards vary in detail which may or may not be critical for your product. The best thing to do, if you can, is to put any terminals that may present a shock hazard in a connector meeting relevant safety requirements. You may find IEC 61984 helpful in this context.
