Subject: Standby on mode

As far as I understand that in US/Canada, to qualify Energy Star Symbol, the
power consumption must be no more than:-

2 watts Audio products

3 watts DVD players, TVs.

4 watts VCRs.

6 watts TV-VCRs.

Is there something similar in EU? If there is no any Energy Star Symbol, the
products do not have above criteria. Is there any current or future directive
to govern it?

Thanks,

Scott
