All, As New LVD, 2006/95/EC repealed 73/23/EEC (including amending directive) from 16 January 2007 onward, all reference to LVD must now state 2006/95/EC.
2006/95/EC is identical to 73/23/EEC (including amending directive). Is this correct? Does this means all declaration must now change from “Product xxx comply with LVD Directive 73/23/EEC as amended by 93/68/EEC.” to “Product xxx comply with LVD Directive 2006/95/EC.” Will existing shipping product declaring to the 73/23/EEC directive be affected? Do we need to re-declare the DofC to 2006/95/EC in order to continue shipping the product? Our manual has been printed with generic statement stating our product complies to 73/23/EEC directive, are we to scrap it? Not like the new EMC directive 2004/108/EC where we have two years to phase out this statement, assuming product is still in compliance to both new and old EMC directive. But this 2006/95/EC is with immediate effect (16 January 2007). Comments. Looking forward to your opinion/advice.
