Part 18 is not correct. Part 15 is the correct Part (Part 18 devices are
similar to Group 2 devices under CISPR 11). There is not a special import
form for Part 15 but you will have to fill out Form 740. If you have test
data that shows compliance to the FCC requirements, the check off will be
box 2 on Form 740.

Hi All,
if I have drive systems (IEC 61800-3), programmable controllers (IEC
61131-2), Electrical equipment of machines in general (IEC 60204-1) to
export to the US for incorporation in a machine is FCC Part 18 applicable
(mandatory) for EMC? If not, is part 15 applicable because every
"progammable controlle" uses clock frequencies > 9 kHz.
Does also a special import form (740 for Part 15) exist? Is a "DoC"
required? Have anybody a good link for guidance?

Dear Colleagues;
Our products are modular digital audio mixers for professional use. The
customer can purchase a basic system and at a later stage purchase extra
modules to expand the system.
The modules are 19” rack cards with a metal front panel and a PCB assembly
fixed to it. The modules plug into a backplane for power and signal
bussing.
We normally use the verification route to FCC compliance and label the
basic system accordingly.
My question is about the FCC labelling of the modules purchased at a later
stage.
Am I allowed to use the FCC logo on the label we attach to the module?
This label will be self adhesive printed paper.
When reading the part 15 of the FCC regulations it stated that the label
must not be confused with an FCC ident label. Therefore; does this
preclude the use of the FCC logo.
Any advice would be appreciated.
