To all members of the EMC-PSTC Forum, This message is for members of the Forum, and not for the members of this email list (unless you are a Forum member as well).
The IEEE was performing some sort of software upgrade and in the process account information for some members of the EMC-PSTC Forum were lost. They attempted to restore these lost members and apparently could only do so by using an old record set. Unfortunately the restoration brought back a lot of old information including about a hundred member accounts that had been deleted from the Forum because they were duplicates, old, incorrect, or whatever. Another piece of information that was brought back was the number of days since your last visit to the Forum. As you will recall, it is the days since last visit that triggered us to remove members from the list due to inactivity. We removed anyone that had not visited in over two years time. The restoration changed many of these dates to over 1,500 days ago. Since about a hundred duplicate or old accounts were added back, we are going to have to do another house-cleaning activity. So I am asking each of you to take a minute and please log into the community Forum. This should reset your days since last visit counter. It will also verify that old login information was not restored and that your user names and passwords are still good. If any of you have any trouble, please let me know and I'll try to get it cleared up right away. I am sorry to have to ask you to go through this once again, especially those who had more than a little bit of trouble getting squared away. I will send another reminder in a week.
