This revised directive will be replacing the current Directive
92/75/EEC on
21 July 2011. The Commission will adopt delegated acts for each product that
set out the requirements for information that must be provided on the label
after the Energy Labelling Directive is published in the Official Journal of
the European Union (OJ). The new label will be mandatory for products placed
on the market from 12 months after the delegated regulation has been published
in the OJ.
Currently, we continue to adopt the directives of each product category
implementing Directive 92/75/EEC as the delegated acts have been published
yet. If the delegated acts are published as scheduled this year, the “In
Force” date must be later that 21 July 2011. Should we continue to apply
the current directives for each product category after 20 July 2011 until the
“In Force” date of coming delegated acts?
