Hello group,
It was brought to my attention late last week that Saudi Arabia is imposing new importation regulations in association with its Product Conformity Program that will come into force in April 2010 and I was asked to investigate. So far I’ve been able to find a Saudi-Intertek Importer/Exporter Guidelines document dated 8-Feb-2010 that was obtained from www.export2saudi.com. Also, the importation procedures described on the Saudi-Net website <http://www.the-saudi.net/business-center/regulation-import.htm#CERTIFICATION> does not correlate to this document. Does anyone have any knowledge of these new regulations? Is this guidelines document the basis for these new regulations, or is this guidelines document merely wishful thinking as its requirements are more burdensome? Any information anyone could share about this would also be beneficial to the group. I look forward to your reply. Best regards, Ron Pickard This message is intended only for the named recipient.
