Dear List Members, One of our suppliers inadvertently shipped us a power supply that was certified to 60601 instead of 60950. About 200 of these medical grade power supplies were installed into ITE equipment similar to a Server. While we know this is a violation, we are all wondering about the following: * What are the physical differences between the two types of pwr supplies ( 60950 vs 60601) * What safety events would most likely occur due to this error? * What specific components could fail and why. We plan to recall and replace the power supplies but should this be a methodical approach or a 911 approach informing the customers to immediately shutdown the equipment. So far, the equipment has been running for approximately 6 months with no issues. Thank you! Christine
